Modernization of dust extraction systems at Tulachermet

One of Tula's biggest environmental projects in the 2010s was the construction of new dust extraction plants. Since 2015, Tulachermet has built and modernized 9 dust extraction plants at its sintering and blast furnace shops. This has enabled the company to reduce dust emissions by more than a third over the past six years.

In 2022, dust extraction unit of the steelmaking furnace in the maintenance and repair shop was modernized. The implemented measures made it possible to reduce dust emissions from this source by a factor of six. At present, specific dust emissions from the furnace in the maintenance and repair shop comply with the requirements of the best available technologies.
