Tula-Steel passed an audit of compliance with ISO 9001 and ISO 14001

Tula-Steel Metallurgical Plant, IMH partner enterprise, has successfully passed an audit of compliance with the requirements of ISO 9001: 2015 (quality management system) and ISO 14001: 2015 (environmental management system).

The audit of the enterprise was carried out by experts of the international company Bureau Veritas Certification. Certificates of conformity prove that Tula-Steel has implemented and applies quality management system and environmental management system in production of continuously cast billets, long and shaped rolled products and wire rods. These certificates are issued with a three-year validity period.

Tula-Steel was launched in 2019. The company's products are used in construction, machine building and metal hardware industry. The plant will be able to produce about 1.8 million tons of rolled products annually, including rebar, wire rod, angle, channel, I-beam and rolled structural products.

Tula-Steel uses the best available technologies in the field of environmental protection. For the first time in domestic metallurgy practice, in addition to bag filters, an electrical filter is installed in the gas cleaning system of the oxygen converter shop that allows to effectively clean the outgoing converter gases. Also, Tula-Steel operates a fully closed water cycle.
