POLEMA introduced new materials for additive technologies at Formnext 2019
POLEMA, a powder metallurgy plant (part of Industrial Metallurgical Holding), participated in the largest international exhibition and conference on additive and intelligent industrial production Formnext 2019 (Frankfurt am Main, Germany, November 19-22, 2019).
POLEMA presented at its booth unique products and the latest developments - spherical metal powders for 3D printing, MIM technologies, surfacing and spraying with improved purity, granulometric composition and flow characteristics, an updated line of heat-resistant alloys for coatings and 3D printing, as well as samples of products made by 3D printing from its own powders. More than 1000 people visited the company's booth during the exhibition.
Since the beginning of the year, POLEMA has successfully completed tests on the use of powder analogues of grades 316L and Inconel 718 as part of a new product development program. These developments are applicable in oil and gas industry, aircraft industry, engine building, tool manufacturing and other high-tech industries for both additive manufacturing and other surface modification technologies.
In 2018, the company mastered production of spherical powders within the framework of the project “Production of High Alloyed Metal Powders for Surfacing, Spraying and Additive Technologies”, implemented with the support of Industrial Development Fund. The plant is capable to produce spherical-shaped powders based on iron, nickel, cobalt, chromium, molybdenum and tungsten. POLEMA is the only Russian manufacturer of these products on an industrial scale.
