POLEMA has got a silver medal

POLEMA, a powder metallurgy plant (city of Tula, part of Industrial Metallurgical Holding) has got a silver medal at the International Industrial Exhibition Metal-Expo'2018.

The prestigious award was given to the project “Production of high-alloyed metal powders for overlay welding, spraying and additive technologies” and a complex of high-tech equipment, put into operation as a part of this project. The equipment includes vacuum atomizer, sieve and air classifiers, as well as installation for metal powders spheronization.

The project was implemented with the support of Industry Development Fund. Investments exceeded 450 mln rubles.

POLEMA became the first enterprise in Russia, producing powders with high purity, sphericity and narrow grading, including refractory metals’ powders. These powders are used for 3D printing, MIM technologies and special coating. The company is capable to produce spherical powders based on iron, nickel, cobalt, molybdenum and tungsten.

Thanks to the launch of new equipment, the plant has significantly expanded its capacities to manufacture new brands of powder compositions, meeting international quality standards.

As a result of the project implementation, the plant will become a supplier of high-quality high-alloyed powder products for domestic machine and-machine-tool industry, oil and gas and glass industries and will force import out of these areas. The products of POLEMA plant will speed up transition of Russian industry to a new technological order and implement the Industry 4.0 concept.
