Kombinat KMAruda passed an audit of compliance with new ISO standards
Kombinat KMAruda, JSC, a part of Industrial Metallurgical Holding (IMH), has successfully passed an audit of the integrated management system for compliance with ISO 45001:2018 (Occupational health and safety management systems) and ISO 50001:2018 (Energy management systems). The company received these certificates for the first time.
ISO 45001:2018 replaced OHSAS 18001:2007. The main difference of the new standard is application of a risk-based approach when analyzing threats to the health and safety of not only employees, but also all interested parties.
The energy management system, operating in accordance with ISO 50001: 2018, allows to organize work on a continuous reduction of energy consumption in the production process.
The certification audit was performed by SGS Vostok Ltd., a Russian subsidiary of SGS Switzerland. The audit was performed in two stages: a visit to the enterprise and verification of compliance with international standards.
Currently, the integrated management system of Kombinat KMAruda is certified for compliance with three more international standards - ISO 9001: 2015 (Quality management systems), ISO 14001: 2015 (Environmental management systems) and HACCP (Food safety management systems).
