IMH upgrades the machinery park at Uchastok Koksovy open pit
Industrial Metallurgical Holding, a Russian vertically integrated mining and metallurgical company, has purchased a batch of Hitachi excavators for Uchastok Koksovy open pit.
Under the agreement, the company received four Hitachi tracked excavators, model EX1200-7VN, with a bucket capacity of 7 m3. The cost of equipment was about RUB 330 mln. Machines have already started to work at the enterprise.
Excavators were purchased as part of the IMH investment program to upgrade the quarry equipment park. New technology will increase the efficiency of coal loading and stripping due to the high bucket capacity.
Also, for work at the enterprise, two BelAZ wheeled bulldozers and one Dieci wheel puller were purchased.
Andrey Shelyagovich, IMH Vice President for production and technical development noted: “This year we have significantly upgraded the quarry equipment park at Uchastok Koksovy open pit. In June, the company purchased a large batch of BelAZ trucks, which made it possible to almost completely refuse the third-party services. Now excavators and a number of other types of equipment have been replaced. These investments will allow us to successfully develop the enterprise, as well as improve working conditions for employees.”
